I built this site as an exercise. The thinking is to do some writing for its thought-refining and -organizing benefits, and as an accountability tool while I'm completing a Knight-Wallace Fellowship.
I'm honored to be able to spend and academic year at the University of Michigan, where I'm going to be tapping into expertise for help interrogating some ideas I have about how to improve the fortunes of local news organizations in the Great Lakes region. That's (mostly) what this is about.
